PaperCut is a web-based print accounting and print management software used to expedite printing on campus. The software is managed on a central server and uses a client that installed on local computers.
When you print a file, you will be prompted first to log in via the PaperCut client using your MassArt Net ID and password. Once logged in to PaperCut, users can then proceed with sending the print job to the selected printer.
Each enrolled student at the college receives a quota of $25 in PaperCut printing funds per semester, which amounts to approximately 800 pages in B&W laser prints or 75 pages in color laser prints. After you reach your quota, you will have to pay for your printing. You can do this online using your Fenway card account or via top-up cards purchased from the bookstore. You must have a credit card to add prints to your account online. The quota for each student will be the same regardless of major and whether you are matriculated or taking a class through Continuing Education.
For administrative printing, faculty and staff have access to shared, departmental PaperCut accounts, which do not require the manual addition of funds via Fenway Card.
Who can use PaperCut?
Any faculty, staff, or student with an active NetID is able to access PaperCut to print on campus.
How do I access Service?
PaperCut is accessible in any of the computers for enrolled students such as The Lab, CAD room, etc. When printing a file, you must first log in to the PaperCut client using your MassArt netID.
