Massachusetts law prohibits state employees from using public resources or work time for political activity or fundraising, while allowing limited non-fundraising political participation off-duty. Employees may make personal campaign contributions within legal limits but cannot solicit or handle fundraising. Political fundraising is also banned in government buildings. Violations can result in fines or imprisonment.
