Verification of Finances (VOF)

Verification of Finances

All funds must be substantiated by Verification of Finances (VOF). VOF is formal documentation proving all funding is readily accessible to pay all expenses related to studying at MassArt. The money amount listed on your VOF document(s) must meet or exceed the minimum amount required to pay for 1 year of attendance at your MassArt program. Please see the Tuition and Expenses document in the Attachments section of this article for current costs of attendance by program. Because these financial documents must also be presented to the embassy/consulate officer when you apply for your F-1 Visa, you should maintain multiple copies of all documents.

All VOF documents submitted must meet the following requirements:

Required Components
Acceptable Types of Bank Accounts
NOT acceptable types of Bank Accounts
Bank Letters: Required Information
Bank Statements: Required Information
Cover Letters: When to Include & Required Information
