What is WebCheckout?

WebCheckout is the equipment circulation software used by several departmental AV equipment checkout centers (aka "cages") on campus.  WebCheckout tracks inventory, usage, fines, and availability of resources in each area. WebCheckout is currently used by Animation, Film-Video, Photography, Tech Central, Studio For Interrelated Media, and Studio Foundations.

Who can use WebCheckout?

Only authorized users (Cage Monitors, helpdesk workers, etc) can log into the system to enter data, check out equipment, process invoices, etc.  There is a self service patron interface "PIR"  that allows users to view inventory and availability of a particular cage and make reservations.  This self service tool is only implemented for certain departments at MassArt.

Who do I contact for more information?

Reach out to the studio manager in your respective discipline/department to learn more about using WCO for a specific equipment cage.
