- Open network preferences and select MassArt from the list of available networks.
The user's default browser should redirect to the MassArt Registration page, which offers a variety of methods for connecting to the MassArt SSID.
NOTE: The MassArt Registration page may fail to load automatically on some devices. Users who do not see the MassArt Registration page after connecting to the MassArt WiFi should open a new browser window and navigate to Network Registration.
Users with a valid MassArt NetID, can authenticate to the network using the NetID Login interface, highlighted below.
- Enter your NetID in the User Name: field,
- Enter your NetID password in the Password: field.
NOTE: A user's NetID is the string of characters before the @ symbol in the user's email address. For example, if the user's email address is jdoe@massart.edu, the user's NetID would be jdoe.
Entertainment devices are typically devices students bring with them to use in their residence hall room for entertainment purposes. Popular entertainment devices include Smart TVs, gaming consoles, or streaming devices (e.g., Roku, Fire TV, AppleTV), and WiFi-enabled appliances. Devices which lack a web browser, and which consequently cannot access the MassArt Registration page, can be connected to the network if the user clicks on the Entertainment Registration link in the middle of the MassArt Registration page.
NOTE: If you've already registered the device you're using to set up an entertainment device and therefore are not automatically redirected, register your entertainment device HERE.
- Clicking the link will load the Registered Device Administration page.
- Users should enter their NetID and password and click Login to be directed to the Self-Registration page.
- Click Add in order to add the MAC address of the device.
- Enter the device's wireless MAC Address in the MAC address: field, an optional device description, and click Submit.
The device will now appear as approved and will have internet access on the MassArt WiFi network.
For those on campus who do not have a MassArt NetID, MassArt provides Internet access as a complimentary service.
- From the MassArt Registration page click Register in the Register as a Guest field.
- On the ensuing page, users should enter the required information.
- Click Complete Registration - only once.
The device will be granted Internet access and redirected to massart.edu.
