Overview- What is Google Workspace

What is Google Workspace?

Google Workspace (formerly known as Google G Suite or Google Apps) is a suite of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools available to students, faculty, and staff.

Google Workspace includes Gmail, Hangouts Meet, Hangouts Chat, and Calendar, for communication; Drive for storage; Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Sites for productivity and collaboration.

Who has access to Google Workspace?

Any MassArt community member with a NetID@massart.edu email account can use Google Workspace.

How do I access Google Workspace?

Guite Suite applications and tools are cloud-based and can be accessed from any supported browser on any supported device with an internet connection (except for countries or regions that block access to Google services).

To access Google Workspace, you can directly load an application using the Access URL listed  in the Table of Applications and Tools below, or typing the URL into a supported web browser.

NOTE: You do not need a VPN connection to access Google Google Workspace applications or services.

You will need to authenticate – when prompted enter your full netid@massart.edu email address in the Username window, and your NetID password in the Password window.

Additional Information

If you are already logged in to Gmail, or any other Google Workspace application, click on the Apps icon () in the upper right corner of the browser window.

A drop-down will appear listing icons for the available Google Workspace applications. Click on any icon and you will be re-directed to that application.
