Due to recent guidance by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), MassArt is temporarily suspending authorization of all Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for most MassArt programs as we review institutional practices and academic program requirements. The guidance sent to Designated School Officials (DSOs) in two messages linked below, emphasized that CPT experience must be a required component of an established curriculum, directly related to the student’s major field of study, and essential to degree completion for all students enrolled in an academic program, regardless of citizenship. Elective courses cannot be used for CPT authorization.
