Why don't I see one or more of my courses after I log in to Canvas? (Students)

This article discusses why students may not see all of their courses listed in Canvas and how they can request further support.

What does it look like?

You have logged in to Canvas but one or more of your courses is not listed on your personal Dashboard.

Why does it happen?

Current and upcoming courses: If you do not see a course listed on your Canvas Dashboard, it may mean that your instructor does not plan to use Canvas for that course. If your instructor does plan to use Canvas, it's possible that they are still preparing for the semester and have temporarily hidden the course from students.

Courses from previous semesters: If you used Canvas for a course during a previous semester and it is no longer listed on your Dashboard, your instructor may only share those course materials during the semester.

What if I still have questions?

Canvas course sites are managed by individual instructors. If you have any additional questions about your access to a specific course, please contact your instructor directly. If they require advanced support, the College's Educational Technology team will be happy to assist.
